Coconut Oil for Weight Loss

Coconut Oil for Weight Loss is Very Important.

The best way to consume coconut oil for weight loss is to drink it warm.(it melts at just above room temperature).

One tablespoon of the oil first thing in the morning helps to stabilize the blood sugars in your body.(blood sugar spikes cause the stress hormone cortisol to become elevated resulting in weight gain as well as causing other health concerns).

A simple way to Melt the oil:

Put a tablespoon of the oil into a small glass and pour some hot water into a glass measuring jug.  Place the small glass with the oil in it into the measuring jug of hot water until it melts.

You can also microwave it, which I prefer not to do since microwaves are known to destroy the nutritional value of foods.

It is also a good idea to chase it down with some black coffee which helps it work even better as this increases metabolism and provides a great kick start for your day.

Other Health Benefits of Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil has antiviral, antibacterial and antiprotozoal properties.

The oil is rich in medium chain fatty acids,(MCFAS) which are also known to aid in the healing of leaky gut syndrome.

The body absorbs the medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil quite easily. The oil stops the bad bacteria in your gut as well as putting a stop to inflammation and in turn will help to build new tissue and heal the gut.

The antibacterial properties of the oil provide great benefits for your skin. It's great for eczema sufferers, it can be used on diaper rash, as well as for removing eye makeup or even for moisturizing the under eye area.

Apparently studies show that the oil can also be used for antibiotic- resistant germs as well.  When choosing the oil it's best to purchase organic virgin cold pressed and unrefined.

Cooking with Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil does not turn carcinogenic which also makes it safe for cooking. It is safe for frying as well as deep frying foods and it's also great for adding to your baking. Unrefined coconut oil has a smoke point of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, whereas refined has a smoke point of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
